WATCH FOR CHILDREN AND SCHOOL BUSES
The local schools are back in session. Please watch for children at the bus stops, and while getting on and off school buses.
Remember - it is ILLEGAL to pass a school bus with the stop sign extended.
VILLAGE WEBSITE IS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!!
The Village of Norwood website is: villageofnorwood.com. This website displays the Calendar of Events, meeting notices, minutes, forms, etc. It is intended to provide online access to the Village Code Book when revised and approved. We're very happy to give the residents an online presence for our community.
REMINDER! - The usual newsletter will be the last one delivered to village residents. The Village News will only be published on the website, but if you don't have access to a computer and would like to have a copy, please call or stop by the office to pick up a copy.
UPCOMING ELECTION DATES
Tuesday, November 8, 2016 - General Election (for Presidency, etc.)
Wednesday, September 21, 2016 - Consolidated General Election petitions are
available to pick up and circulate for signatures to
run for a position on the Village Board.
Week of December 12 - 19, 2016 - Petitions for the Consolidated General Election
must be filed with the Village Clerk. Dates and
times for filing are displayed in the window.
Tuesday, April 4, 2017 - Voting for the Consolidated General Election is
held at 2 different locations. (Look at your voter
registration card for location to vote.)
Please remember it is ILLEGAL to park overnight on all village streets. Refer to Title 6, Section 6-2-1 relating to parking violations, if interested.
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE PLAYGROUND / BALLPARK!!
The Village has received complaints concerning deplorable conditions around the playground and ballpark areas. To ensure safety for everyone, please pick up all trash, glass, etc. when using this facility. It will be appreciative, and the areas will be safe
for all people.
EARLY WINTER NEWS ........
SNOWPLOW DRIVERS & HANDYMAN APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED!!
Please visit the Village Hall for an application (available on entry door) if interested in being hired as a snowplow driver and/or a handyman. Pay for snowplow driver is $12/hr. and handyman is $10/hr. For questions about these positions, please contact William Roberson, Property Committee Chair at 231-9515.
